A protection feature can be enabled while its policies are still being tested. That distinction matters when your team expects a sensitive message to be blocked or encrypted. Ask what the current policy actually does, which users it covers and how an exception will be handled.

Know the policy action

Guardz documents monitoring, blocking and encryption actions for Check Point email protection. Monitoring can record a matching event without preventing delivery. Enforcement depends on the configured action and the required setup. A dashboard showing an event does not, by itself, mean the message was stopped.

Test a realistic example

Use approved test information and representative recipients to validate the experience. Check what the sender sees, what the recipient receives and how support reviews an exception. Do not use actual confidential records just to prove that a filter works. Record the expected result and the result you observed.

Connect the control to the workflow

Employees need to know when to use secure sharing, how to recognize an encryption notification and where to ask for help. DeltaBind’s Cybersecurity Prevention upgrade adds this work to Email Care under an agreed scope. It does not make every message safe automatically or replace decisions about who should receive information.

A practical next step

  • Confirm whether the policy monitors or enforces.

  • Test with approved sample information.

  • Give staff a clear exception and support process.
