Start with the right checks.

An intermittent connection needs observations across time. A single speed test can miss the event that interrupts your meeting or file upload.

What to do next.

  1. Note the time, room and application when a drop occurs.

  2. Compare another device in the same location. Check whether the Wi Fi connection disappears or only one service stops.

  3. Try a nearby location with a stronger signal and repeat an ordinary task.

  4. Keep a short log for the administrator or provider instead of repeatedly resetting all network settings.

Check the result.

A useful test repeats the task that was failing in the same location. Report whether the issue follows one device, one room or all users.

Stop and get help if…

Drops affect several devices, occur with equipment overheating or interrupt important shared services. Network design or hardware may need a separate assessment.
