Start with the right checks.

A paused sync is different from a missing file or failed upload. Check the OneDrive app’s actual status before making another copy of the whole workspace.

What to do next.

  1. Select the OneDrive icon and confirm the intended account.

  2. Read whether synchronization is paused or reporting an error.

  3. Resume the intended account’s sync when appropriate and allow pending changes to finish.

  4. If the status remains Processing changes, record it and follow Microsoft’s matching guidance.

Check the result.

Open a harmless updated file through the intended cloud account and compare its contents. A file on the desktop is not proof it uploaded.

Stop and get help if…

The account is unfamiliar, a sync error persists or two devices contain conflicting changes. Get help before choosing which copy to keep.
