Start with the right checks.

If other websites open, the entire internet connection may not be the problem. Keep the address and exact error message before trying changes.

What to do next.

  1. Check the website address for a typo and try a different ordinary website.

  2. Reload once. If this is a form or payment page, first check whether the previous action already went through.

  3. Read the error wording. A name resolution error, timeout and secure connection warning point to different causes.

  4. Save your work, update Chrome through its official menu and try again. For a company website, give support the address, error and time it occurred.

Check the result.

The intended page loads at the correct address without a security warning. Check the required action separately rather than assuming everything works.

Stop and get help if…

The page asks for unusual credentials, the warning persists, or the problem affects an important business service. Avoid broad resets that erase useful evidence.
