Start with the right checks.

A domain is the address people use to find your business. Its registration is separate from the website design and may also affect email.

What to do next.

  1. Find the registrar in existing business records or ICANN’s domain lookup. Use a verified address to sign in.

  2. Confirm the domain name, expiration status and which business account owns it.

  3. Ask the registrar what renewal or recovery options are available, including the cost and any deadline. Avoid paying an unsolicited renewal notice without verification.

  4. After the authorized owner restores registration, ask support to check the website and business email separately.

Check the result.

The registrar confirms the registration status, and the actual website and email tests succeed. A payment receipt alone does not prove restoration.

Stop and get help if…

The domain has a different registrant, access has been lost or the registrar cannot restore it. Preserve notices and contact the registrar through its official support route.
